The native peoples of North America moved from one place to another, following nature’s seasonal changes in order to gather plants and
hunt wild animals. The religious beliefs and mythologies of the hunter-gatherers are reflections of this way of life. They envisioned
their search for knowledge and spiritual understanding in the form of a voyage that would take them beyond the protective borders of their
surroundings, into a world inhabited by mysterious forces at the heart of life and death, of famine and bounty.
